Born to shine
Greetings,
My name is Xenia Wenøe, born and raised in Denmark, and I proudly identify as a professional dancer. Unlike some, I didn't emerge into the world with dance shoes on; rather, I spent my formative years in a gymnastics studio. From the age of 6 to 16, gymnastics was my primary focus, with ballet sessions interspersed throughout my training regimen.
Growing up, I was fortunate to have a mom – an Asian mom, to be precise – who encouraged me to explore a multitude of activities to discover my passions. For her unwavering support, I am deeply grateful.
Over the years, I've dabbled in various pursuits, including musical theater, ice skating, roller skating (yes, it's a thing), painting, piano, waltzing, swimming, scouting, cooking, and singing, among others. However, gymnastics and ballet remained my mainstays.
In 2019, my gymnastics team clinched the national championship and competed on the global stage in Spain. It was after this experience that I made a pivotal decision to transition from gymnastics to dance. Since then, I've immersed myself in hiphop, girly, modern, contemporary, and other dance styles, with an insatiable appetite to learn more.
During my time with the competition group t.w.s at my former dance school, we earned the title of Denmark's best senior hiphop group in 2021 and represented the country at the World Championships in Austria.
Last year, I completed a full-time program at the International Dance Academy under the guidance of Sonny, the esteemed founder. I also had the incredible opportunity to travel to Los Angeles, where I trained with top choreographers and immersed myself in the vibrant dance culture.
This coming year, I will continue my dance journey at Flow Dance Academy, where I will focus on deepening my understanding of street dance and expanding my artistic expression.
A quick learner with a resilient mindset, I approach dance with unwavering determination — because I truly believe I was born to shine.
Warm regards,
Xenia Wenøe

I had the pleasure of working with this very disciplined student and talented dancer. From the first moment you step foot in the studio, the sparkle in her eyes for the passion and dedication to dance is noticeable. The student always shows herself with a very open mind, without fear of going beyond her comfort zone; her kindness and ability to listen is perfect for optimizing a resulting group work; the student always gives her best on all occasions, with very positive energy, hard work and infinite interest in learning, always with a smile on her lips!
I had the pleasure of working with Xenia during her training at the International Dance Academy in 2024–25.
She is an open-minded and inquisitive dancer, known for her creativity and versatility of expression. In a workshop focused on choreography and camera performance, Xenia stood out for her originality and strong sense of artistic initiative.
She thrives in collaborative environments, contributing thoughtfully to group work, while also bringing a distinct and compelling presence as an individual performer.
Xenia is a dedicated and inspiring artist, and I’m confident she will continue to grow and make a meaningful impact through her work.

It has been a pleasure teaching Xenia. She always approaches an assignment professionally and delivers dance with energy, character and technique. A safe card to work with
Xenia Wenøe is a student who stands out through her exceptional dedication and professional approach to dance. Her focus and presence in class is always 100% – she is both mentally and physically engaged, which makes her an inspiring part of the class.
What I particularly appreciate is her proactivity and curiosity. She always asks relevant and reflective questions to understand technical nuances and develop her talent. At the same time, she manages to balance ambition with humility – a quality that makes her a true professional.
It has been a pleasure to be part of her dance journey, and I look forward to following her continued growth.

A personal moment:
“I vividly remember her asking in class, “What can I do to improve?” – her willingness to understand the details is a huge strength.”
